Nothing new is released in this year's conference. However, they do show a preview of Presentation Server running on a Longhorn server with a Vista ICA client. I feel that the emphasis is more on the newly acquired products such as EdgeSight and WANScaler, and an introuction of the Customer Innovation Award.
Stay tuned...

Outsourcing study reaches 90% confidence level!
That's right. It has now entered phase 2 after about a year of study. What this means basically is that after about 12 to 15 months, the decision to outsource a substantial part of the infrastructure support is pretty much clear, with a list of services to be outsourced to a limited number of providers.
Well they keep saying "People follow the work"...yeah we know that and we heard about it thousands of time. That's an enterprise direction and an inevitable feat to manage it well. So is there anything new?
I have pretty much confident that the main support operations will definitely be one of the services. So plan ahead, plan early, and plan wisely...
This says that US$10 billion will be spent in Asia-Pac...I say add about US$200 millions to the figure 18 months later.
"Knock, knock!" "Who's there?"

NTRights's valid attributes
NtRights.exe has a help page that lists the valid attributes:
valid NTRights are:

But it also accepts any new Privilege Constants introduced after it was built. I am not sure when it is built exactly but this NtRights.exe that I use is in Windows 2000 Resource Kit.
One of the new constants is:
SE_CREATE_GLOBAL_NAME -- SeCreateGlobalPrivilege

IT outsourcing is inevitable
Why is that?
1) Many big multi-national companies have outsourced their IT departments and the benefits have been seen after a couple of years
2) IT is not the core business
3) New, young bloods with fresh new and latest IT knownledge are needed. The average age of the employee is getting older
4) Leading IT service providers in the industry always have an edge in providing and applying new technology

Sound of the Summoner and the Guardians
These are my collection of Final Fantasy Soundtracks from VII to X-2. I think all of them are pretty good. Some of my favorite tracks are "One Winged Angel (片翼の天使)" in VII; テラ, 魂無き村ブラン・バル in IX; 雷平原, ノーマルバトル (Battle Theme), ノーマルバトル, ノーマルバトル, 召喚戦バトル, 極北の民 in X.
Of course there are many others I am not able to list them all. Great music!
